VESTUR is an audiovisual band consisting of Seo Ho-seong, former bassist of ‘The Plastic Day’ and ‘Body and Mind’ from the K-indie scene, Lee Sang-yoon, former drummer of ‘Apollo 18’, and visual artist Plastur. Meaning “west” in Icelandic, VESTUR creates real-time interactive images based on electronic music.
VESTUR adds real-time responsive images to traditional band performances, seeking a synesthetic experience for both performers and audiences. Combining electronic music with bass and drum performances, and integrating immersive images that transcend boundaries, they offer a rich musical experience. The precise and calculated movements of the images are meticulously pre-arranged, while momentary improvisation ensures that each performance is unique. Through AI i2i streaming and web-like interconnected nodes, VESTUR generates images that blend analog and digital music, crafting a complex and unpredictable experience. VESTUR hopes their sound and imagery will provide creative inspiration to audiences.
